We have no idea off one game, or even a college career, what a QB is or isn't until a coach gets them in the game and to be sure, make sure that coach isn't Hue Jackson. I am just amazed that people believe they know the future based on one glimpse of the past. Its not like DTR played all over, practice squads, XFL, other teams, started games other places, and actually looks, well exactly the same if not worse. 6 TD 4 INT, QBR of 33.fumbled 9 times.38% play success rate, you know exactly what Zach Wilson's is so far this year.hell Watson is at 42% this year.Purdy is 57% by the way for comparison.īut we know EVERYTHING there is to know about DTR in one game.gotcha. Oh, and his first year WHEW baby! Set it on fire. H ARD CASES make bad law, warned Oliver Wendell Holmes junior, an early-20th-century justice. Had to play 5 years of college ball to get drafted in round 2. ![]() Decent accuracy but nothing special, about 63%. Let's see.he's 6'1", so shorter as that means he's 6' in high heels. ![]() Did ANYONE, and I mean ANYONE, think when Tua went in for Jalen Hurts and won the National Championship for Alabama, that Jalen Hurts was an NFL QB? That going to Oklahoma wasn't just a waste of everyone's time? That he would lead a team to a Super Bowl and within a breath of winning it? I have a very serious question for everyone. We can't live, however, with a bunch of interceptions, fumbles, holding penalties when he is improvising, and huge yardage losses when he is sacked far behind the line of scrimmage. We can probably live with him getting sacked some or throwing the ball away when his primary option is taken away and he doesn't see an option elsewhere. Also, because he has less experience to see the vulnerable spots and to audible for better plays, he is going to face more situations where he is running for his life. Sometimes, he is right, but the margins for error are much smaller in the NFL than they were in college. He has the elite athleticism that makes him think he can elude a pass rusher and still make a throw on the run. That isn't about running too early, but running around and trying to make a tough throw across his body into traffic or flipping a ball to a running back while he's falling to the ground. His biggest problem, which he had at UCLA and he had in the Baltimore game, is trying to do too much to extend a play. His problem was not a "noodle arm." He can air it out and he can throw intermediate routes.
